About Fresno Historical Society

The Fresno Historical Society brings life to the heritage of the region by collecting, preserving, interpreting and holding in public trust the records and artifacts that document the history of the people of Fresno County and the Central Valley of California; provides the community with educational opportunities through excellence in programs, exhibitions and use of its collections; and encourages and promotes the preservation and conservation of the community's historic and cultural resources. Office hours Tue-Fri 9-5 pm. Researchers have access to the holdings of the Historical Society Archives by appointment only. 559-441-0862
