About This Event

Theatre is many things to me. It’s a tool whereby I teach my students life lessons. It’s a window into the ways and realities of the world, even if what is happening on stage is not realistic. But Theatre is also a way to connect. We as human beings constantly seek to connect with one another, and I believe Theatre is one of, if not the greatest way we can do that. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is a perfect vehicle for it. It’s a story of two individuals that have no control of the world around them, including what happens to them. These two simple fools from Shakespeare’s Hamlet try to retrace their steps in an effort to reconstruct what has happened to them and to reconnect their lives. Like us all, they stumble, they fall, they get back up and keep going. Life, like theatre, is a show that must go on. Even if you’re not quite sure where you came from…or where you’re going.
