About This Event

We will start with an overview of the progress in revitalizing downtown Fresno. Rocio Andrade, Business and Community Services Manager for the Downtown Fresno Partnership, will be providing all the details. Then, Frank Delgado, Executive Director of Arte Americas, and Nancy Marquez will give us latest on the mural project soon to begin on the CMAC building. As always, we will conclude with announcements of upcoming events in the valley. Our biggest announcement is our upcoming State of the Arts Luncheon on October 21 from 11-1:30. Tickets are $30 for members/tables of 10 for $250 or $40 for nonmembers/tables 0f 10 for $350​. They are​ available by contacting Ann at office@valleyculturalcoalition.org or on our website valleyculturalcoalition.org.​ Our ​main speaker will be Dr. Don Simmons, Professor of Humanics at Fresno State. Earlier this year, Don spoke at one of our General Meetings and was so well received that everyone asked him to return. Don will be speaking on building a successful nonprofit, grant writing, and marketing. We are so excited to have such an expert in his field present at our luncheon. We are fortunate to offer an exclusive viewing of the video of ​ Tony Award winning musical, Hamilton​. The thirty minute video narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda contains a preview of the 90 minute presentation that will be shown on ValleyPBS early next year. We will get a backstage view of the production of the musical. ​Our luncheon will conclude with ​a ​discussion ​of the ​State of the ​Arts in the Valley.
