San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust
11605 Old Friant Road Fresno, CA 93730
Join the River Parkway Trust and Nature Walk Guides George Folsom and Lynn Hemink for an exploration of raptors along the San Joaquin River. From the River Center, we'll venture out on a 2-mile round trip walk to Owl Hollow. Along the way, we'll look for kestrels, red tail hawks, coopers hawks, and bald eagles. Bring your favorite pair of binoculars. We'll also have pairs to lend out. This walk is offered in partnership with the Fresno County Library and the Big Read program. The 2015 Big Read book is The Maltese Falcon. To make your experience more comfortable: wear layered clothing appropriate for the weather, long pants, closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Please bring water and a snack. There is no charge for this walk. Donations are greatly appreciated and allow the River Parkway Trust to continue offering walks and programs for the community. Space is limited, register today!
