Join us this New Year's Eve for this hike to celebrate the beginning of 2018 with the Bald Eagle, our national bird. Each winter, eagles overwinter along the shores of Millerton Reservoir. We will do an easy 2-mile hike to view these magnificent birds. Guides Judy J. and Larry P. are avid birders who love to share their passion and knowledge with the public. PLEASE NOTE: While bald eagle sightings are highly likely, they are not guaranteed. We will be meeting at the River Center (11605 Old Friant Rd, Fresno, CA) at 8:00 am, and will carpool to Millerton from there. Please dress appropriately for a day outdoors (long pants, closed toed shoes, etc.) and bring sunscreen, binoculars, and water. Leader(s) will have some loaner binoculars available. This is a rain or shine event. Children 12+ welcome, no dogs please.
