7160 W Kearney Blvd Fresno, CA 93706
May 16th and 17th, 2015 hundreds of pirates from all over the state will be invading Kearney Park for the 11th annual Fresno Pirate Festival. Join them as they recreate the pirate haven of New Providence in the early 1700s. There be a treasure hunt for the little 'uns, merchants from the four corners, belly dancers from the mysterious east and the best pirate skool on deck for the kids. Pirates kidnapped jugglers, magicians, and singers and brought them to town to entertain you. Visit the likes of Captains Jack Rackham, Charles Vane, and the dreaded Blackbeard. Meet the notorious female pirates Anne Bonney, and Mary Reade. If this be too tame for ya, we have cannon on deck for a demonstration of a sea battle. We have pirates who are surly and lookin' fer a fight with the King's men. After all this, ya might need some refreshment. Whether it be cabin biscuits or ale, we have foods from all over the world. And ya don't have ta leave empty handed. We have merchants to help you with your piratical needs. Admission is $12 per person, $8 for seniors, military and kids 5-12. Bring a canned food donation and get $1 off. Student groups are $5 per person, please contact Joyce for reservations. We be invitin' everyone to join us from 10am to 6pm Saturday and 10-5pm Sunday May 16th-17th. If'n ye have a notion, wear yer practical finery.
