Come visit Millerton Lake State Recreation Area for a morning of fresh air, quiet surroundings and a spectacular viewing of our national bird, the bald eagle.
Winter is the best time to observe the magnificent Bald Eagle as they flock to their wintering grounds in California after flying for thousands of miles from breeding areas. Visitors are required to come together at the Millerton Lake Historic Courthouse. From there, the tours will run from 8:00am-Noon. A short 30-minute presentation kicks off the tour about these majestic creatures, and then it is time for everyone to ride the Eagle Barge for a captivating tour of many of Millerton Lake's vistas and wildlife. Your excursions come complete with hot chocolate and a bathroom break.
Tour is ADA Accessible and reservations are required, with a fee of $20 per person. Tours will run every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from January through March, except on December where tours are on limited dates. Group tours are welcome for a flat rate of $450.
Please call Millerton Lake State Recreation Area at (559) 822-2332 and book your tour today.
