About This Event

Most people explore Sequoia & Kings Canyon when the sun is out, but did you know that half the park is after dark? We invite you to come learn about and celebrate the Parks’ most abundant nocturnal animals: bats! On this guided walk you will explore the nighttime world with a Sequoia Field Institute Naturalist as you take part in an ongoing project to collect data about these flying friends for park scientists. Bring a flashlight and a warm layer.

Time: 8:00pm-9:00pm
Cost: Free
Duration: 1 hour 
Registration: NONE
Difficulty: Easy
Distance: Approximately 1 mile round trip.
Ages: All. Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Meeting Locations: John Muir Lodge, Kings Canyon National Park.
