About This Event

This free community event will feature something for everyone! Visitors will learn about water conservation, recycling, composting, water-wise gardening, air quality issues, solar energy, and much more. There will be hands-on exhibits and vendors of Earth-friendly goods and services. The entire event will be powered by the sun! Cyclists will enjoy free valet bike parking courtesy of the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition. In addition, there will be a bike kitchen and bicycle safety demonstrations. The bike show will feature commuter, cargo and family bikes, which are great alternatives to travel by car. No Earth Day festival would be complete without live music and delicious food provided by popular local food vendors like Sweet and Spicy, Ampersand, and Raw Fresno, to name a few. There will be children’s activities, including games and crafts. Earth Day will coincide with the Fresno Art Museum’s “FAMily Day.” Earth-themed art projects will be featured at the museum along with music and – of course – lots of art. Admission is free to the public. This festival would not be possible without the generous support of community members and these sponsors: The Fresno Bee, Republic Services, DNA Code Studios, Drip, The Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno and Mid Valley Disposal. The theme of this year’s festival: Environmental and Climate Literacy
